St. Stan's Parish Campus Project

In the Spring of 2000, in an effort to meet the needs of a growing parish St. Stanislaus Parish began a survey of the existing parish center and the needs of the various Parish Organizations and staff. Over $1.2 million in necessary repairs and retrofits were identified, on top of any expansions that would be required. As a result of this study, the Building Committee was formed, and charged with finding a way to meet these needs. Over the next two years, different rennovation and expansion scenarios were studied, ultimately leading to the decision to construct a new parish center.

In the Fall of 2002, a Capital Campaign was conducted to begin raising funds for the construction of the new Parish Center. Three-and-a-half years later, the Parish reached the halfway mark in funding, and the Building Committee began the final plans.

In April 2007, Groundbreaking was held on the site of the new building, adjacent to the rectory and the former site of the St. Stanislaus Convent. Bishop Robert Carlson, head of the Saginaw Diocese, was present for the event.

The project advanced quickly, and the parish achieved occupancy of the center on February 15, 2008. Formal dedication of the building took place on April 13, 2008 with Bishop Carlson present.
